Using a verification seal responsibly

A seal should lead visitors to a verifiable domain record.

Archive period: 2026-08 · Informational archive guide. This period is an editorial classification, not its original publication date.

Place the seal clearly

Use the integration code supplied by the registry and place its container where visitors can find it. Avoid stretching the image or covering its status. Add the script once per page and preserve the verification link.

Check each domain

An alternative address is not automatically covered because it resembles a registered name. Each address must be recorded separately. After a domain change, verify the destination and current status from the live site.

Distinguish errors

A not-verified result and a temporary connection failure are different conditions. Do not substitute a saved active badge when verification fails. A copied image alone cannot establish the present status of a website.
