Operating company and domain scope
Operating company means the company identified in a particular certificate record. The company number is the recorded reference associated with that company. Domain scope means the main website and alternative addresses explicitly associated with the record; it should not be inferred from branding alone.
Seal, status and verification
A remote seal is a website element intended to link to a matching certificate record. Status describes how that record is currently presented. Verification is the process of comparing the actual website address and other details with the current record, rather than confirming that an image looks familiar.
